Gooooood afternoon everyone, what are YOU doing? I had a Com 270 test today, it was soooooo easy, I was surprised since I'd heard it hyped up as being relatively hard. Always feel free to email me at JimmyRay5@aol.com. Coming soon: TML (Total Mike Live) radio show on the internet! We'll keep you posted...

Movie Reviews
Nurse Betty
This movie totally ruled. I've added it to my top films of 2000 list at number nine (I constantly update my list, although I do have a top 10 list which I will put up here sometime). Morgan Freeman gave my favorite performance of the film, although the others (including Renee Zellweger or however the heck you spell that, Chris Rock and Greg Kinnear) all performed admirably as well. My main problem with it is that it was very hard to watch. The Betty character is so deluded that you want her to just snap out of it and get her life on track, but she stays in character for a long time. There are several twists that I never saw coming. It ends up being a rather life affirming film, as well as a girl power/feminist message. I normally don't like it when films have that kind of message, but I didn't mind it in this case. It's a film that just makes you say "WOW! That ruled." However, the feeling didn't stay with me the next day, and that's when I started noticing some more of the flaws, though good examples escape me at the moment. I definitely recommend this film, and I think you'll enjoy it. Grade: B+

Song of the Day
soulDecision: Ooh, It's Kinda Crazy
I recommend looking for the non-edited version of this song... there are at least two different versions, one which I heard quite a while ago and one which is currently being used on the radio and in the video. I like the other version better, I think it's on their album. This song is pretty much a diss on girls (the band admitted it themselves), but that doesn't mean that it's not about love as well. The harmonies and melody on this song are beautiful. soulDecision brings the same fun, innovative instrumental background to this song that they brought to their last single Faded, as well as the rest of their album. If you wanna hear what the guys have been pushing most recently, check out the song Gravity, which is their current Canadian single (yeah they're Canadian, but don't hold it against them).

Lessons from God
Today's lesson: God is Superman. It's true. I mean, think about it. He's there when you need him, coming to help if you call his name. He fights the forces of evil. He loves you, America, and pretty much everything else. He always does the right thing. He's mighter than a locomotive and can move faster than a speeding bullet. So next time you wish Superman were there to help you, just remember, he is.

Wrestling Update
I've actually been watching a little WCW recently. I might do a review of WCW Thunder, though I don't think I'm educated enough about WCW yet to do Pay-Per-View previews. Here's a couple 1Wrestling.com rhetorical questions in relation to last night's show that I thought were funny:
Were you surprised no one chanted "We want Hall"?
I am begging everyone in the wrestling to stop using the word "swerve"?

The 'Dirty Dozen'
These are shows that are rumored to be highly avoided by advertisers. I watch 11, 6, 3, 2 and 1 so I just wanted to spread the word. Start watching these shows so that advertisers smarten up!

11. The Man Show (Comedy Central)
10. Dr. Laura (Syndication)
9. Cops (Fox)
8. America's Most Wanted (Fox)

6. Jackass (MTV)
5. Howard Stern (E! and CBS)
4. Jerry Springer (Syndication)
3. South Park (Comedy Central)
2. Temptation Island (Fox)
1. WWF Smackdown! (UPN)

WWF Raw review
I thorougly enjoyed the show, though I missed the first 45 minutes or so. The Al Snow/Chris Benoit match was my favorite, it totally ruled. I love seeing Al Snow on TV, and I love how they keep the real life relationship between Al Snow and Mick Foley alive on TV.
A couple rhetorical questions I snagged off 1Wrestling.com's site that I found exceptionally true:
Wasn't Steph's top, uh, very fan friendly?
Why didn't Kat strip while the guys were fighting on the floor?
Why did they censor "slut" when Richards said it live, but not on the replay?
Isn't Kat a better representative for nudity than Mideon?
Wasn't Molly Holly the first female in history to overstate her weight?
Doesn't HHH have more to lose with "6 months off" than Austin does with "losing a title shot"?
