What's up everyone? I've got a lot of stuff since I haven't updated in a few days, so here goes! Classes have been going well, I love my religion class, fascinating stuff. I also saw a friend playing Final Fantasy IX (9) for the first time, cool game, beautiful graphics as always in the FF series. I finally got a new issue of the comic magazine Wizard, which also was cool, great article on Superman, I recommend it for anyone who is interested in comics/superheroes/etc. I have to say I'm apalled that Napster is going to start charging money for its services soon, I'm sure there are plenty of others starting their own Napster rip-offs as we speak though as well as a few already established. Plus you can always find MP3's somewhere on the net. It just makes things a lil' harder. Sorry, hold on a sec *steps onto soapbox*... Sharing music ain't wrong! That's what keeps the music industry going, is people sharing. There are a million artists I never would have gotten into if I hadn't had a friend play them for me, or put a song or two from them on a mix tape, maybe even a whole album or a few of their best tracks. If I enjoyed it, I'd go buy the album, if not, I'd stop listening. I don't think Napster is even that big a threat, especially without fast internet connections in most homes yet (probably not for a while). Everyone, download whatever you can from Napster while you still have time, especially Metallic and Dr. Dre tracks. In any case, it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Movie Reviews
Silence of the Lambs
I saw this one with a few people on Tuesday night. I was a little disappointed scariness wise, but it delivered on the acting side. Anthony Hopkins as well as the true villain of the film just creep you out. I also thought Jodie Foster was cute, and the southern accent rules. There were a few parts that were just too predictable. I also thought it was interesting that the villains are based on several real people. The best moments are the interplay between Jodie and Hopkins' Doctor Hannibal Lecter. The genius of this man, being a doctor and all, shines through, and definitely enhances his threat factor. I also want to qualify this by saying I missed a bit at the beginning, but saw almost the whole film. I definitely recommend this film, if nothing else it'll help you get pumped up for Hannibal (too bad Jodie Foster isn't coming back). Grade: A-

Head Over Heels
I saw the sneak preview for this on Wednesday night. A very sweet movie. I just like Freddie Prinze Jr. 'cause he just seems like a nice day. This is a very dirty movie, but funny. It's not Scary Movie, but you'll see the requisite sex and poop jokes. The models are fairly good looking, especially the Australian and RUssian chicks. The plot is forgivingly cheesy throughout, until the massive plot twist about 2/3 of the way through the film. It's all downhill from there, which seriously hurt the grade of this film, but it was still quite enjoyable. Grade: C+

Song of the Day
Israel Kamakawiw'ole (aka Brudda Iz, aka Iz): Somewhere Over The Rainbow/Wonderful World
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. No matter what kind of music you dig, you've gotta appreciate this. It's a soulful interpretation, combining the two songs with little division. Iz himself has the voice of an angel. He died in 1997 at the age of 38. He weighed 800 pounds, his appearance a somewhat interesting contrast to what you might expect from him by his appearance and size. He does a lot of Hawaiian songs, but he also does just plain English songs as well. I would recommend looking into his music, other songs of his I enjoy are A Hawaiian Like Me and Take Me Home Country Road. I'm probably going to write a paper on Hawaiian music for my world music class, I'll post that up here when I do that.

Wrestling Update
Hey everyone! I have to throw out my latest theory: Trish Stratus and Vince McMahon are NOT going out. I mean, have we really seen them together that much? Sure, massage and spanking are suggestive, but I don't think they necessarily indicate a relationship. My bet is that Vince has really been visiting Linda, reconciling his marriage, and that perhaps Trish is still really with Test. Maybe Vince is helping Trish cover this up by implying a relationship. Also, a rumor I thought was interesting: Mick Foley returning on the Smackdown two weeks from today! I hope it's true. On a more down note, I'd like to send a shout out to Scoops Wrestling.com, which is being shut down. Al Isaacs and the rest of the staff has my best wishes for their futures, both in and out of the wrestling reporting biz. Check it out while you still have the chance!

Smackdown Extreme Review
Good show tonight, good wrestling even though no titles changed hands. It's hard to expect too much of a push towards No Way Out since it's still three more weeks I think 'til the pay per view. There were some solid matches tonight, particularly the opening match between the Hardys and the Dudley Boys and the main event with Triple H, Kurt Angle and the Rock. If I see another Stone Cold run-in though...

How is everyone doing this fine Monday night? Let's see what's up today... I had classes as usual, and I also managed to ace my first math quiz (woo hoo!). I was listeing to my WWF Aggression CD on the way to classes. It's awesome, rap versions of some of the WWF superstar themes, for more invo go to WWFAggression.com. American social dance was fun today, I learned the Charleston (so if I ever go back in time to the 1920's...). I hung out with my pals Aaron and Nicole after class until dinner at 5, then practiced some dance moves with the young miss Nicole, since I suck ass and she's way better. We're just friends though guys, so don't get any ideas. She's like my little sister. I went to my youth group tonight, which was fun and enlightening as always. My top two lessons from God for the day:
1) Be yourself. God loves you whether you're cool or uncool, hot or ugly, smart or dumb, etc., etc. Everyone's gifted in their own way, and these gifts come from God. So celebrate yourself, thank God and find your own niche.
2) God is good all the time. No matter what, God will be there for you, even if you don't want him to be. He'll always forgive you no matter what you do, just tell him your problems.

After youth group, I watched most of WWF Raw. I was disappointed I missed the beginning, but I only missed the intro and two matches I think (unfortunately including my #3 favorite wrestler's match, Steven Richards). I give my match of the night award to Raven v. Crash for the hardcore title. It really pushed forward the storline of Raven's mystery driver helping him hold on to his belt, and set up a potential feud between Crash's valet Molly Holly and Raven's driver. Which brings me to...

The Quote of the Day:
"Where's my belt?" -Raven after pinning Crash Holly, with an assist by his driver. I also enjoyed the main event and am excited to see Rock fight Angle for the title on Smackdown, though I'm smelling a run-in, and Jackie and Lita teaming up to take down Ivory. The video clip of a crappy, cheesy pizza commercial that Kurt Angle did was hilarious as well.

Hey what's up everyone? I hope you all had a great Superbowl Sunday. The Superbowl ruled. My favorite commercial was the "What are YOU doing?" prep spoof of the "Wazaaaaa..." commercials. Others were among the best over the past few years, not like last year's dot-com overdose. The game was a bit of a disappointment, but still entertaining. I expected a closer game, not the Baltimore blowout we witnessed. The 3 touchdowns in 36 seconds/back-to-back punt returns for touchdowns was obviously the highlight of the game. I'm glad the team I was rooting for put it away, though I would have liked to see the Giants put it together enough to provide a larger challenge to the number one ranked defense in the country...
I checked out the new season of Survivor. You can join my league of predicting stuff about Survivor at Survivor Sucks. My league is Total Request Live: Australian Edition, I believe. I just signed up so I missed the chance to put in what I thought was gonna happen for the first show, but I'll try to get around to checking in every week. I caught a lot of the new Survivor, which was quite interesting. I think they've made some good tweaks to the show, though I didn't catch much of it first time around. I was betting on 'Mad Dog' Maralyn getting kicked off on the first show, but her tribe got exempted from voting someone off for the first show. My #2 pick was Debb, since she was also one of the more unattractive and seemingly unappealing members of the Survivor cast. After watching for a little while I was betting on Jeff, since he was sick and he would be more logical to vote off since no one seemed to especially piss someone off on this episode. I got more of a Real World vibe this time around, though again, I saw little to none of the last season. I also wish they would say what all the votes were even if it's obvious who's going to be voted off. Nothing can touch Temptation Island for entertainment value as far as I'm concerned though (more on that on Wednesday)...
I was flipping in between Survivor and WWF Sunday Night Heat. Lo Down finally got their first tag title match in the full Indian garb, as well as their first title match period against the Dudley Boys. Steven Richards of the Right To Censor, my favorite wrestler on the mic, actually got to cut an awesome promo. I hadn't noticed the level of success the Right to Censor has had, but they've actually managed to censor the obscene language and scantily clad women of the WWF. The converted ex-prison guard Barry 'Bull' Buchanan, self-proclaimed 'pimp' the Godfather (now the Goodfather), ex-porn star Val Venis and scantily clad woman Ivory. They got rid of the name Mr. Ass, as well as his music and costume. They gave serious injuries to Chyna after her appearance in Playboy, and have kept the WWF from giving much promotion to her new book on WWF programming. Who knows what else they're doing behind the scenes? I'm also adding in an RTC prediction for Wrestlemania: One member will either quit or be seriously injured. I think that will be either the Goodfather returning to his Godfather gimmick, or perhaps Ivory being taken out by Chyna. I also see them perhaps gaining a member, either 'Sexual Chocolate' Mark Henry when or shortly after he comes back, or Chyna finally seeing the light of Steven Richards and looking into his eyes.
I just had to get on this morning to tell you about my best, worst, and most disappointing dream ever from last night. OK, first off, TRL (MTV's Total Request Live) was having some kind of 3 day camp, and I was one of the 25 kids who got to go (don't ask me why). OK, so my dad was helping me get ready, and as always he was making me run late. Also, for some reason, he had dumped his girlfriend (they were now 'best friends') and was going out with Mandy freakin' Moore! We still hadn't gotten to the show when they started the first show of the camp, and they were making their own TRL New Kids On The Block by randomly drawing numbers of the kids who were there. Two of the numbers were 25 and 909, does that mean anything? I think the 909 was from this effect in this mixing program I was messing around with before I went to sleep. Also there was some old chick pretending to be dead right in front of our front door on the inside. And something to do with an MP3 mixer (I think that's in my dream 'cause me and my bud Aaron were messing around with some MP3 mixing thing last night). Mandy FREAKIN' Moore! How come my dad gets a chick in my dreams, and I don't? C'est la vie I guess. Have a nice Super Bowl Sunday!
I just wanted to remind everyone to tune in Sunday night for my commentary on the Superbowl, WWF Sunday Night Heat, the new Australian Survivor and much, much more! Oh also I had to say that I LOVE the new Blockbuster Video video game commercial. I want that video game trainer training me. It's hilarious, if you haven't seen it, watch TV until you do! I know it's on MTV, I dunno who else is playing it. Are you game enough?
Today wasn't half bad. I went to the Washington State/Stanford basketball game this afternoon, it ended up not being the blowout I expected. Washington stayed with Stanford, even though they're the numer one team, and had a respectable loss... Yo, I just got back from hangin' out with the boys, it ruled! It's a couple hours after I wrote that last thing. We went sledding and they did some sweet wrestling moves in the snow (swanton bombs, suplexes, Rock bottoms, diving headbutts, the works)... I'm not sure footed at all though, watching me walk through the snow is like a Jerry Lewis film. I fell down on ice about 3 times so far since it started snowing at the beginning of last November. I've slipped way too many to count, but without falling... Climbing up all the hills to sled sucked, but it was a blast coming back down.
